Cat Vs Usher

A future FOTT and one of the funniest girls I know, Meg, expressed her love for this. I am sure glad I clicked on the link.

It just had to be shared.

The Gift that Keeps on Giving

What is it, you ask? This gift that keeps giving?

I'll give you some hints:

-It is a favorite teepee pastime

-Maybe we've successfully done it for 10 hours just today

-It requires two mattresses

Got it yet? Ok.

The answer is...

PORCHIN'!

If we had a TV show we'd name it "Porchin' with Elk and Buffalo" because we do it so much.

Our preferred way to porch has been perfected. We move two mattresses out to the porch, cover them with blankets, and sit. And watch. Sometimes we stalk, sometimes we read books, sometimes we play games. Our favorite is when we get visitors and they porch with us. It really is the most splendid.

The weather does not deter us. We've sat through rain and hail. We prefer the sun, though.

I wish I had a picture. One day.

Anyways, we do this a lot. It entertains us. So if you're ever bored and you just want to enjoy good times with good company, you know where to find us.

Some testimonies of porchin':

"I really enjoy porchin'. It's bomb.com"
-Sir Benjamin

"This is so fun! I think I want to come over every Sunday!"
-Chief Featherbutt

"If I could only do one thing for the rest of my life, it would be porchin'"
-Dare-bear

"I could do this all day. Oh wait, I have done this all day"
-Elk

Don't take my word for it; take theirs.

Our Life in Photos

I SUCK. THIS CHILD NEEDS TO BE REMOVED BY CHILD SERVICES.

BUT...WE STILL ROCK.

PROOF.

Please try telling us we don't look legit. Oh, you can't. Because we do. This was when we had an adventure up into the canyon and ate dutch oven. And looked good doing it.

We crammed into the drivers truck. This is us squished.

Throw-back Sunday. A solid Sunday dress up day, if I do say so myself

The most epic photo ever to be taken. Hawaiian Sunday. Muumuus. Hot.

Mav made sure to get in on some of that action.

Birthday dinner!!! We got all dressed up and went to Macaroni Grill for a fabulous meal and a waiter named Danish. Oh so good.

Classic shot.

We swear we have other friends. Unfortunately we don't take pictures with them all the time. This was at JD's Honors Thesis Documentary Screening. I'd like to think we were vital to the success of that night. But mostly we just love JD. He is a favorite.

We enjoy sushi. More than most people. We don't enjoy taking off our shoes to sit down to eat it, though.

And there are some days when we go to our friends tuba recital and we listen and love it and maybe take pictures during the recital. And maybe one of us looks like a cancer patient. Maybe.

To all the Fans

The neglect this blog has seen is disgusting. If it were a child, it would have been removed from my care because I haven't been taking care of it like I should. I would blame Elk, too, but she has never paid any attention to it. She's like the Dad of this blog who only cares about work while I slave away at home with the kid. She'll pay attention to it if it does something special; if there's a funny blog post or if someone else makes a comment. While I sit here and have nothing else to entertain me. It's not a healthy relationship.

But it works for us. I'm not complaining. I'm just saying.

Anyways. Last week we were mostly out of commission because it was fairly busy.

And Elk almost died. Ok not really but she managed to watch like 57 movies in the course of three days. My guess is she got the swine flu. Or some EFY disease. Or both? She's getting better but she still welcomes any gifts, lovin', or ease from the boredom. However, she does not welcome any soup unless it comes from Zupas.

I have a feeling today will see several blog posts from me, Buffalo, as I try to recount the last couple weeks from the Teepee. This includes some Sunday Dress-up days, a couple FOTT's, and a birthday tribute (a week late) to the one and only Momma Elk.

Enjoy.

And a pic from the archives. It's like baby Elk and Buffalo!
